Melita has announced the following changes applicable to bill payments affected at Maltapost branches. Currently for this bill payment facility Maltapost charges a fee of €0.60c per bill. As from the 15th of August 2012, this charge will be increased to €0.95c.
A direct notice is also being sent by post to Melita clients who have made payments at Maltapost branches in the last 12 months to advise them of the changes above.
“Whilst we assure you that the Maltapost service will remain available, we would like to invite you to pay your melita bills at no extra charge at any of our retail outlets or authorised resellers,” the company said.
To avoid this additional charge there is also a free online self-care portal which also enables customers to view their account and usage in detail. Payments can also be affected from any local online banking service.
