Amy Rapa, who is a member of the sopranos section of Gozo’s Chorus Urbanus Choir, is to be awarded with the Associate Diploma of Trinity College of London in Piano Performance.

Amy started her studies in the pianoforte at the age of 6 under the tutorship of Mrs Jennifer Grech. She had first joined the choir when she participated with the Junior Section in the Papal Mass that was celebrated on Granaries Square in Floriana during Pope Benedict XVI’s visit in Malta.

On that particular occasion, the Choir’s Junior Section joined forces with a large number of other Maltese and Gozitan children to form the Children’s Choir that sang the Gregorian part of John Galea’s Missa In Fractione Panis.

Amy went on to join the adult section of the choir and is now a regular member on the sopranos section. Apart from her choral contribution, she is also asked at times to accompany the choir on the organ or piano for special events such as concerts and other liturgical services.

Chorus Urbanus congratulated Amy on her impressive achievement and wished her more successes in her musical career.
