The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) said today that “Perit Dominic (Dom) Mintoff was responsible for the enactment of Malta’s initial natural environment and wild birds’ regulations in the early eighties, during his term of Malta Prime Minister that saw the islands’ first efforts towards conservation of wild birds and natural habitats.”

FKNK would like to pay tribute to Dom Mintoff for his wisdom with such act and for his love, dedication and understanding for anything that is Maltese, including for the passions of the Maltese socio-cultural traditions of hunting and especially live-bird capturing.

On this sad day of Dom Mintoff’s demise, the FKNK would like to extend its condolences to Dom Mintoff’s family and friends.
