Nadur’s Mnarja Philharmonic Band will be holding its November annual symphonic concert entitled ‘Big Band Adventures’ at the MBC Theatre, Mnarja Band Club, Nadur on Saturday, the 10th of November, at 8pm.

The event is being organised by the Mnarja Philharmonic Society with the collaboration of the Nadur Local Council to mark the feast of San Koronato being held at the Nadur village in Gozo.

Among the musical pieces to be performed by the Mnarja Band are: Medleys – Classical Gold and Bill Conti’s Famous TV Themes. The concert opens with a Maltese composition titled Flamboyant Overture and Verdi’s immortal Sinfonia from the opera Nabucco, followed by Korsakov’s masterpiece Scheherazade. Soundtrack themes from movie pictures Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves and King Arthur enrich the evening.

Like similar concerts held at the same venue in previous years, this year’s concert promises to offer patrons an enjoyable evening.

The general public is invited to attend and entrance is free of charge.
