A programme of celebrations has been announced by the Curia in preparation for the Episcopal Ordination of Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta.

The celebrations get underway on November the 20th.

5.30pm: At St Sebastian parish church in Qormi, where Mgr Scicluna spent his childhood, there will be a celebration for children. This will be followed at 6.30pm by Mass of the Holy Spirit.

November the 21st.

6.30pm: Mass will be heard at Lija, where Mgr Scicluna’s family has lived since 1976.

November the 22nd.

At the Cathedral in Mdina a ceremony will take place when Mgr Scicluna will become a member of the Cathedral Chapter. Archbishop Paul Cremona will lead a prayer vigil at 6.45pm. The Vicar General will then bless Mgr Scicluna’s Episcopal Insignia.

The Episcopal Ordination will be held at 9.30am, on Saturday the 24th of November at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta.
