A group of students and teachers from Sir M.A. Refalo Centre for Further Studies of Victoria, Gozo recently had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the workings of the European institutions in Brussels. This visit was made possible with the financial assistance of the European Parliament.

Spread over five days, the group had the opportunity to have a guided tour round the European Parliament, whilst an explanation of the functions of this institution was given. An extensive tour of the Parlamentarium was also included in this visit.

The students and teachers were also able to understand better how the different committees work and how the European Parliament, with its different political groups, function.

Besides visiting other cultural sites in Brussels, including the Atomium and Mini-Europe, the group also enjoyed a day tour to Antwerp and Bruges respectively.
