The Ministry for Gozo responded this afternoon to comments made by the Labour Leader Dr Joseph Muscat on Sunday regarding a Comino resident who needs treatement at the Gozo General Hospital.

The Ministry said that it has issued a call for tender for the service of collecting the patient from Comino and also the return journey whenever it is needed for treatment.

The Ministry continuedd by saying that it is also informed that the Malta Community Chest Fund is considering the request of the resident for compensation to offset any expenditure already made.

The Gozo Ministry concluded by saying that “it respects and treats such cases with prudence. However, at the same time it is unfair that Dr Muscat should make such statements that do not reflect the truth, but for political gain.”
