The officials of the Gozo Football Association recently had a meeting with the Leader of the Malta Labour Party Dr. Joseph Muscat. The GFA delegation was led by the president Mr. Alvin Grech, who was accompanied by Mr. Anton Camilleri, one of the vice-presidents, Mr. Joe Bajada, general secretary and Mr. George Cini the treasurer of the association. This was the first official activity for Joe Bajada and George Cini as officials of the GFA. For the meeting, the MLP Leader was assisted by the two Labour representatives in Parliament Dr. Anton Refalo and Dr. Justine Caruana, together with Dr. Muscat’s personal assistant David Borg.

The meeting, which was cordial, focused around various aspects of the Gozitan association such as the projects which are being prepared by the GFA especially with regards to the improvement and upgrading of the facilities at the Gozo Stadium. During the meeting the parties exchanged their views and ideas for the benefit of football in Gozo.

Dr. Muscat showed interest in the work carried out by the GFA and requested the GFA officials to keep him updated with the operations of the largest sports association in Gozo. At the end of the meeting, the GFA president Alvin Grech inviting Dr. Muscat to attend on of the meeting of the Council of the GFA. Dr. Muscat accepted the invitation.
