The Gozo Carnival Celebrations 2013.
Carnival celebrations in Nadur kicked off on Sunday, February 3, at St Peter and St Paul Square, with several dancing competitions for adults and children, grotesque masks and floats and the Big Friends Guggen Musikband.
Carnival continued in Victoria with a musical programme by a band at Independence Square.
A Carnival parade was held along Republic Street, followed by a show at Independence Square, where there were dancing competitions for schoolchildren and adult companies, floats, grotesque masks and bands.
Other activities were held on Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10, in Xaghra and in Xewkija.
Children attending Laura Vicuna School in Ghasri danced merrily in a Carnival parade in Xewkija. Performances in Victoria and Xaghra were under the direction of Claire DeBono.
The staff of St Anne Residence at the Gozo General Hospital and Nadur primary school children on Tuesday February 12, entertained residents to a Carnival show. Also taking part were singer Rebecca Bonello and dancer Isaiah Muscat.
