Gozo Channel in a statement said that it confirms that from initial reports “one of its vessels, the M.V. Gaudos, brushed against the quay and scraped away some of its paint work, while coming into berth at Mgarr Harbour.”

“At no time was the safety of the passengers on board and/or the vessel itself were put at risk,” the company said.

Gozo Channel concluded by saying that it would like to apologise for this unfortunate incident, adding that it will take all the necessary measures so as to ensure that similar incidents do not repeat themselves.
