A fun day for pets, owners & families in Malta on Saturday

The Yorkshire Terrier Malta Community celebrated its launch on the 6th of April 2013 during the Yorkshire Terrier weekend which was held at Piscopo Gardens, Burmarrad..

The aim of the event was to increase awareness about the importance and necessity of providing complete health nutrtion for pets. Members of the Community were on hand to visitors during the weekendoffer guidance and advice on how to care of their pets.

The team said that they are backed up with years of research, innovation and science when it comes to feeding pets especially cats and dogs. Though the event was a get together for the Yorkshire Terrier owners, all pets and families were invited and everyone was welcome to attend.

The organisers said that pets become family members and should be treated as such. “We feel that a great deal of people are animal lovers and we believe that this adds value to the Maltese community. We also feel that it is important that prevention is taken to avoid risk of diseases and other conditions such as obesity problems.”

Entrnace to the event was free and those who came along with their pets were given a free gift. During this event there was also free grooming consultations, free vet consultation and free expert advise regarding nutrition and care that is right for your dog type.

The children’s area which included puzzle competition and face painting, a treasure hunt and face painting activities kept the children busy and entertained during the day.

Following on from the success of the event, the organisers are holding a follow up event at Bad to the Bone on Saturday, the 27th of April 2013.

Everyone is welcome to join in and visit the event at Bad to the Bone in Marsascala. Free entrance, all pets and all the family is invited.
