Xaghra Scout Group will, on the 18th of May, be celebrating the 5th Anniversary from the reopening of the group.
To mark this special occasion, Xaghra Scout Group will be holding a celebration Mass at the Xaghra Basilica on Sunday, the 2nd of June, starting at 9.45am.
Following the Mass, some new members will be invested as scouts and welcomed as members of the Group and of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement.
The general public will then have the opportunity to visit the new head quarters, near the Xaghra Playing Field, between 11.00am and 12.00pm and see with their own eyes what has been done to turn the building into a meeting place for the members.
Everyone is then invited to join the group for a buffet lunch at the Country Terrace which will start at noon. The price for adults is €15 and includes a pasta and main course buffet together with dessert.
The price for children is €7 and they can choose from chicken nuggets and burger with chips. Tickets for this lunch can be obtained by calling on 99221449 and 79946768.
