The Gozo University Group has said in a statement that it expresses its satisfaction that the accommodation grant was received earlier than expected as this shows the commitment and priority that the Ministry for Gozo is giving to the Gozitan students.

Furthermore, GUG said that it welcomes news of the international call that has been issued for a cruise liner terminal to be built on Gozo, as well as a yacht marina.

The project, which would enable anchorage of cruise ships off the coast of Gozo, has already invoked the interest of 12 companies in Europe.

GUG said that this response “shows that our island’s potential as a tourist destination is being recognised and indicates a positive outlook towards future career opportunities in this field.”

GUG concluded by saying that it looks forward to further news regarding these developments and hopes that the quality and sustainability of Gozo is kept at the forefront of each decision that is to follow.
