Sociologist Michael Briguglio addressed the international conference on green economics, organised by the Green Economics Institute, at the University of Oxford and at the Oxford Union Debating Society.

Briguglio presented a case study on Maltese and European environmental NGOs from his PhD thesis and also formed part of a panel on austerity in Mediterranean countries which was followed by the BBC world service radio.

Michael Briguglio was also interviewed by the BBC world service on green economic policy in Mediterranean countries, with particular emphasis on Malta.
