Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of Malta, is currently leading a pilgrimage in Lourdes.

The pilgrimage is organised by the Assocjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes (AVL), the group of 336 Maltese pilgrims, also includes a number of sick people.

Each year, the Association assists sick persons to travel from Malta to visit the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Lourdes at the Grotto, where she appeared for the first time to Bernadette Soubirous on the 11th February 1858.

This coming Sunday, the 1st of September, at 8.30am, Bishop Scicluna will lead a concelebrated Mass in Maltese at the Grotto.

The Mass will be streamed live on http://en.lourdes-france.org/tv-lourdes/.
