Following on from the great fun of Friday’s hike and with school still off, 8 young members of the Gozo-Greyhound Youth Athletic Club at Qala took advantage of the beautiful weather and went for another hike.
Organiser, Louis Debattista said that this time the route took about 2 1/2 hours (roughly 6km) and they hiked from Qala, to Dahlet Qorrott, San Blas, and then along through the fields on a path to Ramla. “It was a lovely day and we all had fun, even Ripley the puppy, who got showered with sand to cool down!”
Louis said “that this coming Saturday, the 9th of November, if anyone is interested I will be doing a long charity hike from Mgarr, to Dwejra, leaving at 7.30am, to raise money for the Santa Rita Children’s Home in Malta.
It will take about 5-6 hours and if anyone wants to do a shorter hike then they can meet us in Xlendi and we can hike to Dwejra together.”
“Please join me for this beautiful hike walking along the coast for a good cause. We will have food, drinks, fruits and transport back to Mgarr,” Louis said.
