‘In Vino Veritas,’ a poetic comedy show dedicated to wine, with wine tasting and other Italian specialities, is being presented by the Italian Culture Institute of Valletta, in collaboration with with Ir-Rokna Tal-Kreattività ma’ Amina Contin and the Gozo Culture and Information Office.

Written, directed and performed by Amina Contin, an Italian cultural operator who moved in Gozo 4 years ago, well known for her various activities, with the participation of the Italian musician and singer Nino Marini and Eugene Bajada, a well known Gozitan musician (Divine-Sinners and others), which on this occasion will take the role of the ‘Oste.’

The show is all centered on the theme of wine and its many aspects … starting from the philosophical/intimate expressions, that can be found in the poems and songs of famous Italian songwriters, and embracing also some more traditional popular music.

It will also include a strong involvement from the audience, which on several occasions will be invited to toast and taste the “nectar of the gods,” as well as guess the names of the wines that can be found in popular ballads.

Amina said that the “wines and food is kindly offered by Vini & Capricci by Abraham’s, the new space in Gozo where you can find the best Italian brands.”

The show takes place on Thursday, the 28th of November, starting at 6.30pm, at the Italian Cultural Institute, Vecchia Cancelleria, Piazza S. Giorgio, Valletta.

Entrance is Free of charge and everyone is warmly invited to attend.
