Kercem Ajax defender Petar Kyumyurdzhiev has been voted as the BOV-Gozo Football Association Player of the Month for January 2014.
Petar registered excellent performances in the Gozo First Division League in Ajax’s 4-0 victory over Oratory Youths as well as the goalless draw against reigning champions Nadur Youngsters FC.
In the latter match, not only did he control Nadur’s debuting striker Elton da Silva but was instrumental in blocking most of the Youngsters forward motion, while at the same time setting off his own team’s offence.
Jack Theuma, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Gozo Branch presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy to Kyumyurdzhiev who chose Fondazzjoni Oasi to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
