A conference to introduce MEP candidates is taking place in Gozo this month, ‘How will our MEPs in the European Parliament impact the Gozitan Community?’ is the title of the event, which is being organised by the European Parliament Office in Malta, in conjunction with the Gozo Business Chamber.

The aim of this conference is for the opportunity to introduce the prospective MEP candidates to the Gozitan community, hear the MEP’s views, listen to what the Gozitans have to say, as well as increase awareness of the importance to ‘go and vote’ and to finally reach to a set of aims to better the economical situation of Gozo.

The venue for this conference/debate is the Hall of the Gozo College, Boys’ Secondary School in Victoria, on Friday, the 21st of February, starting at 5.00pm, it is expected to conclude at around 8.00pm, it is an event not to be missed.

The Full Programme is as follows:

17.00hrs : Registration & Welcome Coffee

17.30hrs : Opening Speeches by Mr Michael Grech GBC President and by Dr Peter Agius as Head of European Parliament Office in Malta.

17.50hrs : Session 1 – Chaired by Dr Joe Azzopardi. 4 of the Prospective candidates (2 from each party) will do their presentations and then the public will be given the opportunity to intervene.

18.50HRS : BREAK

19.00hrs : Session 2 – Chaired by Dr Rose Azzopardi. 4 other Prospective candidates (2 from each party) will do their presentations followed by contributions from the public.

20.00hrs : Closing by Mr Michael Grech GBC President.
