The 12th of July marked the 200th anniversary since the Malta Police Force was established. To commemorate the occasion, Police Acting Commissioner Ray Zammit, unveiled a plaque in the main police station at Victoria, Gozo.

The 200th anniversary logo branded “200 sena – Min-Nies Ghan-Nies 1814-2014,” was launched last December and will remain its emblem throughout the calendar year of 2014. A one minute video ‘Fast forwarding 200 years of service’ marking the duties of the Police Force was also launched this year to mark the anniversary.
