On Sunday afternoon, spectators enjoyed an exciting series of kart races, when the centre of Ghajnsielem was transformed into a racetrack, with the route taking the drivers around the village square and streets.
The event was organised by the Island Karting Club, in collaboration with the Ghajnsielem Local Council
All the proceeds raised from the street races are in aid of the Arka Foundation of Ghajnsielem.
Several karts participated including a mix of Junior Max, Senior Max, Formula 30, Super KF and Baby Karts.
The prizes were awarded to the winners by Mgr Emmanuel Curmi, Director of the Arka Foundation and Ghajnsielem Councillor Mr Larry Buttigieg.
