Wirt Ghawdex is appealing to the general public to refrain from climbing up to the statue of Is-Salvatur in Marsalforn, while it is undergoing restoration.

The appeal is also to respect the on-site watchman’s instructions and to obey the “No Entry” and “Danger Zone” signs at the location.

Climbing the scaffolding is strictly prohibited, Wirt Ghawdex said. “These precautions are necessary to ensure the safety of all involved and anyone seen ignoring these instructions will be reported to the police.”
