The Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo paid a visit to the Gozo College, Girls’ Secondary School, Victoria, where a Book Fair is being held in conjunction with Gozo Live.

The Minister congratulated them the on their initiative in launching the book fair at the school.

Dr Refalo said that it is well known that, despite its small size, Gozo provides, through its teachers, the highest level of education. The Minister went on to thank the teachers for their continuing commitment and dedication.

The Minister added that although we live in an era where we are seeing rapid development in technology, books are still vitally important, reading has always been a valuable source of education and learning, especially when it starts at a young age.

The Gozo College Principal Victor Galea and Head of School Theresa Camilleri showed the Minister the work that has been carried out in the school to introduce co-education in Year 7 as well as the work carried out on the new science laboratories.
