His Lordship Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of the Diocese of Gozo, is carrying out Pastoral Visits to all parishes in Gozo. These visits started in October last year
The Visits, will be spread over two years and is taking place on the occasion of the 150th year since the establishment of the Diocese of Gozo (which encompasses the islands of Gozo and Comino), which was celebrated on the 16th of September 2014.
The Bishop said that the purpose of the campaign of visits, “is that together, as one community, we experience the love of God. Through Visitation, the Church in Gozo in the person of the Bishop and Christian communities must convey the message that God shows his infinite mercy to any person. While hoping to share in families moments of joy and sadness.”
The Bishop is currently on a Pastoral Visit to Xaghra, which will concluded on Sunday, the 14th of December.
On Saturday evening Mgr Mario Grech on the occasion of the Pastoral Visit concelebrated the Mass at the Basilica of Xaghra for residents who are not from the Parish.
Following the Mass Mgr Mario Grech met the Maltese and expatriate members of the community during a social gathering at the Parish Office.
