As part of the activities organised for International Volunteers Day 2014 by the Gozo NGOs Association, they hosted Dr. Maria Mercedes Rossi, main representative at the United Nations Office in Geneva, and member of the APG23.

Dr. Rossi paid a cordial visit to Helena Dalli, Minister for Social Policy, at her Ministry in Valletta.

During the meeting a number of issues where discussed, especially the involvement of youths in the voluntary world, the right for children to have a family, the illegal emigrants vis-a-vis voluntary organisations, as well as the integration of the local voluntary organisations through international affiliation.

The Gozo NGO Association was represented by its President, Comm. Carmel Zammit.
