November’s industrial production down 1.2% & down 2.4% on 2013

Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.2 per cent in November over the previous month. When compared to November 2013, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 2.4 per cent, figures from the National Statistics show today.

In November, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production decreased by 1.2 per cent to 95.1 points. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (-3.3 per cent), capital goods (-0.2 per cent) and energy (-0.1 per cent). On the other hand, the production of consumer goods went up by 0.4 per cent.

When compared to the corresponding month in 2013, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 2.4 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (-16.1 per cent) and energy (-2.1 per cent).

On the other hand, the production of consumer goods and capital goods went up by 5.4 and 5.0 per cent respectively.
