A concert of Sacred Music – Mater Dolorosa – has been organised by the Santa Cecilia Foundation AD 2013, and the Cantata ‘lebsa t-Triq’ with lyrics by Mario Borg (Xewkija) and composition of Mro. Antoine Mercieca, artistic director and founder.
The concert will feature sopranos Rosabelle Pavia and Patricia Buttigieg, mezzo soprano Marthese Borg, tenors Mario Portelli and George Mercieca, baritone Ian Grech, and the Santa Cecilja and Magnificat Choirs, together with the String Quintet, leader James Zammit. The conductor is Mro. Antoine Mercieca.
The concert will be under the patronage of H.E. Mgr Dr Joe Vella Gauci, and takes place on Sunday, the 22nd of March, starting at at 6.00pm in the church of St. Francis, Victoria, Gozo.
The public are invited to attend.
