The Malta Community Chest Fund is once again gearing up to hold its popular annual Fine Art Auction, to raise funds for L-Istrina.
For the first time ever, this year's Auction will be held at the beautiful Verdala Palace in Rabat. There will be over 50 works of art by top local and foreign artists on display in the run up to the auction. Verdala Palace will be open for viewings between 10am and 6pm from the 18th till the 21st of November.
The Auction itself will be held on the evening of the 21st of November, and will be under the hammer of Belgravia's head auctioneer Joseph Sammut.
"Art collectors and art lovers are invited to visit Verdala Palace to view the pieces on display," says Fine Arts Auction committee Chairman Mario Gauci Jnr. "We have a substantial collection to auction this year so I am positive that we will raise a considerable amount of money for the MCCF, which has been our goal from the outset."
"Aside from helping a good cause, buyers will have the opportunity to obtain an investment piece that will definitely enhance their living space. We are very grateful to the artists and entities for their kind donations – they are the ones who have made this possible."
As always, the money raised at this annual event will be used to fund the MCCF's valuable work in the community. This includes funding for chemotherapy for rare cancers, as well as money to help feed children who live in poverty. All the money raised will go straight to charity, and will be used to make a tangible difference to society in Malta.
An illustrated catalogue of all the auction pieces, accompanied by dynamic new branding, has been created for the event. It may be viewed online at www.mccf.org.mt.
