As part of the celebrations taking place this week for Jum iz-Zebbug, which this year is the 328th anniversary of the establishment of the Parish, the inauguration took place of a landscaped walk and area leading to the village of Zebbug.

'Serhan is-Saghtrija' in the limits of Trig is-Saghtrija, is an initiative undertaken by the Zebbug Local Council, the EkoSkola Committee of Gozo College Ghajnsielem Primary School, who also took part in the inauguration.

The nature area and walk was inaugurated by Zebbug Mayor Mr Nicky Saliba together with Ms Marlene Muscat, Manager the Europe Direct Information Office Gozo, and blessed by Zebbug Archpriest Fr Reuben Micallef, in the presence of the Vice Mayor Mr Daniel Cordina and Councillors, as well as Mr Christian Cassar, Chev. Carmelo Saliba and Sandra Grech.

Trees were planted by the Ghajnsiem Primary students for the occasion.
