Britain's in-out EU referendum - Implications for Malta, UK & the UnionUpdate with speakers – UK/EU referendum. How did it got there? And what are the implications for Malta, the UK and the Union? These points will be discussed during a conference taking place next Friday.

The peoples of the United Kingdom are called to the polls on the 23rd of June to decide between continuing Union membership, with the modifications as presented at the European Council of the 19th of February and the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Union after the statutory negotiations.

The European Parliament Office in Malta in collaboration with the Strickland Foundation is presenting a public debate meant to bring to the fore the issues which lead a Member State to question its place in the Union and to reflect on the impact of the outcomes of the UK referendum on Malta, the UK and the Union.

A number of high profile speakers will be sharing their thoughts with the audience during the event which is being held at Europe House, 254, St Paul’s Street, Valletta VLT 1215, this coming Friday, the 27th of May, starting at 5.00pm.
