The year 2017 is important for Nadur Parish because it will be celebrating two anniversaries. The 50th Anniversary since the parish was given from Rome the privilege of a Basilica in 1967. It is also important because it marks the 150th Anniversary since the parish church of Nadur was consecrated.

The logo for these two anniversaries was designed by Maria Pace, an art student currently studying in Scotland.

The numbers 50 and 150 mark the two Anniversaries. The Basilica cross is in a circle, also a symbol of the Eucharist, which is on a black rectangle symbolising the altar which was consecrated in 1867.

Pace enclosed her details in an outline of the whole Church, to show that the stone church is given life with the living people celebrating around the altar. The Christians meeting in church leave it to bring the church alive.
