The Ministry for Home Affairs and National Security has said that in response to a request from the Maltese Government, the German Government will contribute defence assets to support Malta’s security operation for the EU Informal Summit that will be held in Malta on the 3rd of February.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the provided support to the Armed Forces of Malta will be the deployment of a mobile Air Surveillance Radar System to enhance security during the Summit.

The Government said that it welcomes the contribution by the German Government during such an important event.
