Gozo Police have said that a 79-year old British was found dead this morning at a private residence in Triq it-Torri, Kercem.

Police were called to the house at around 8.30am this morning, and on entering the house noted a strong smell of gas, the man’s lifeless body was found on the bed.

Police said that preliminary inquiries found that there appeared to be a leak from a heater in the vicinity. CPD were also called on site to assist.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed into the case whilst Police investigations are still underway.
