The Victoria Playing Field in Gozo had its official opening on Friday evening by Victoria Mayor Samuel Azzopardi.
The project was undertaken by the Victoria Local Council and celebrations for the event included a programme of activities on Friday and Saturday, with families being able to enjoy the long awaited facilities on offer for the children.
Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana and Parliamentary Secretary Clint Camilleri attended the opening evening.
Dr Caruana said, “I congratulate the Victoria Local Council for the playing field project. It was a long road but the determination and perseverance were crucial in achieving this result.”
