A 44-year old French national was seriously injured this afternoon after losing control of a quad bike and crashing into a boundary wall.

Police said that the accident happened at around around 3.00pm, in Borg Gharib Street, Ghajnsielem, Gozo.

The injured person was taken to Gozo General hospital for further treatment, where they were certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still on going.
