During the coming week, the village of Xaghra in Gozo will be celebrating the feast of its Patron Saint, Maria Bambina, the Church being dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin Mary.

The festivities for Our Lady of Victories Feast are therefore to honour Our Lady, the Mother of God, on her birthday – the 8th of September, which is also a National Holiday.

This Sunday, Bishop Giovanni Cefai will be celebrating Mass at 7pm. Following the Mass, the statue of the Bambina will be carried out of her niche.
