Victoria Scout Group together with Xaghra Scout Group has organised a programme of environment-friendly activities to bring the Scouting Centenary Celebrations in Gozo to a fitting conclusion.
The Xaghra parish organised the feast of St. Anthony, the Abbott. The blessing ceremony of horses was held in the morning at St. Anthony’s square by the parish priest Mgr. Carmelo Refalo.
Photograph shows the statue of St. Anthony carried to the Basilica at the end of a defile of horses and ponies, mounted on a carriage by Victor Muscat and his son Gabriel.
