Next weekend, the second part of the sports twinning between Gozo and Sicily will be take place, organised by the Gozo Motocross Association in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, at Ta Xhajma Motocross Track

The first part was in May last year, when twelve Gozitan motocross riders, members of the Gozo Motocross Association, were in Sicily to compete in friendly races with Sicilian riders at Mx Francavilla Park, in the municipality of Francavilla di Sicilia, making it the perfect opportunity to combine sports tourism and culture.

The GMA said that Sicilian motocross riders will enjoy their time visiting Gozo both as tourists and motocross riders.

On the Friday, they will have a day of training at Ta Xhajma motocross track. Then on Sunday, competitions will take place between Sicilian and Gozitan riders.

The GMA said that apart from the usual classes with Sicilian riders, a special veteran class will also be part of the programme on Sunday.

70 year old Antonino Muscolino, an active Sicilian motocross veteran, will be competing with Gozitan, Maltese and foreign veterans.

All riders, young and old are invited to be part of this exciting weekend, and of course as many spectators, fans and supporters as possible are welcome to attend, on Friday the 1st and Sunday, the 3rd of November.
