This weekend the next production by 356 Company opens at the Citadel in Victoria. Contractions – is a play by Mike Bartlett and is being performed in conjunction with Blank Canvas Productions (Gozo).
The play is labelled as an “ink-black comedy” and deals with corporate control as well as the management of human resources. “How tightly can contractual signatories be subjected to the rules of the company and how far-reaching is it’s impact?”
Blank Canvas Productions explained that, “the feeling is that the audience may have views on the subject and to that end, it is invited to remain, or to return to their seats after a brief respite to openly discuss with the cast and director after the performance.”
The play itself will be a little under an hour in length and the discussion is not expected to take more than half an hour.
The performance will start at 8pm on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 8th, 9th and 10th of November, in the mezzanine at the Citadel, Gozo, (Room 4 Cultural Centre) which can be accessed from the east side battlements, above the craft shops.
There are only a handful of seats left for Saturday, so reservations are recommended via spotlight@blankcanvasgozo.com or 79279061 / 99018257.
