A Transnational Mobility of Pupils Project is taking place at the ITS Campus, with the title: International Vocational Skills – Polish students in Institute of Tourism Studies, Qala, Gozo.

The mobility of Polish students is underway at the Institute of Tourism Studies in Qala. The project will be for two weeks, during which students from Poland and Gozo will be taking classes together and preparing the materials for a Polish and Maltese Tourist Guide for the two countries.

The students are attending lectures and vocational workshops, gaining widespread knowledge and developing their skills.

In their free time the Polish students are taking part in a culture programme visiting the many interesting sites around Gozo and Malta. All knowledge gained during these visits will be used to help create the guidebook.Polish students attend the Institute of Tourism Studies in QalaThe ITS said that the group is staying in the “very comfortable” school Campus Hostel, making it easy for them to attend all the planned classes.

The group is also responsible for preparing the presentation about Poland and the Polish food which will be available to try in the school restaurant.

The Project, which is carried out as an international group, is a great opportunity to foster cooperation between the Polish school and the Institute of Tourism in Gozo, the Institute said.

The ITS Gozo concluded by saying that “the aspect of international tourism and the hotel industry is a very important issue in the economy of both countries.”
