Dr Justyne Caruana, the former Minister for Gozo, has today been appointed Chairperson of the Committee for the Consideration of Bills. Dr Caruana succeeds Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi MP in the position.
She has also been appointed as Vice President of the Parliament’s Committees.
Update: Dr Caruana, commenting on her new role, said that having been unanimously approved by Parliament to serve as Chairman of the Bills Committee, she would commit herself to devoting her experience and skills in the legal field for the work of this Committee which considers and passes all the laws of Malta.

Why did you resign? Now we’re saddled with an idiot who will put hunting and trapping issues before all else on Gozo. This is a harsh step back for decent Gozitans.
