Egyptian man given suspended sentence for stabbing in GozoA 51-year Egyptian national has been given a two-year prison sentence, suspended for four years, after he pleaded guilty to seriously injuring another Egyptian man during an incident on Monday evening.

The accused admitted to having a sharp and pointed weapon in his possession and causing serious injuries to the other Egyptian.

The man appeared at the Gozo Court in front of Magistrate Simone Grech. The prosecution was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
