Following the successful activity held last Sunday at Ta’ Qali, the Consumer and Competition Division in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo will be celebrating the World’s Consumer Rights Day on the island of Gozo.
This activity aims to promote the eight basic consumer rights and to deliver the message through the information provided. The main theme for this year’s World Consumer Rights Day is Publicity – a fact or a myth? The effects of food and drink on our health. In line with this, the activity to be held in Gozo is meant to increase awareness about these rights through related information, whilst prominence will be given to the promotion of healthy eating.
Those attending this activity will be provided with informative material regarding the eight basic consumer rights, as well as information about how the consumer should choose best foods for a healthy diet. This activity will also include games and other activities for children.
The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono will address participants and will also distribute prizes to winners of competitions issued in Saghtar and Taghna t-Tfal publications. The activity is going to be held at the Centre for Further Studies Sir M.A. Refalo in Victoria (in front of Villa Rundle) on Saturday the 21st of March, between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
