5 fined for breaking quarantine, no establishments caught breaking regulations

421 inspections have been carried out in the Maltese islands during the past 24-hours. The Government said that 5 people have been caught breaking obligatory quarantine and were each fined €3000.

Up until now 40 persons have been fined after being caught breaking quarantine.

No food or drinks establishment in Malta and Gozo were found to have broken regulations to remain closed.

600 inspections were carried out in Malta and 170 in Gozo, so that the total has now surpassed 6,700.

Inspections are carried out by the ALE Police and Gozo Police together with the Environmental Health Directorate, Malta and the Civil Protection Malta.
