A Gozitan teenager was seriously injured after he lost control of his bicycle and crashed into a wall.

Police said that the accident happened at around 8pm on Friday evening in Triq il-Qbajjar, Zebbug, Gozo.

The 19-year old was given first aid at the scene before being transferred to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Monica Vella has appointed various experts to assist in the inquiry.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
