Two young women were taken to hospital late on Sunday afternoon following a traffic accident in Ghajnsielem.

The accident happened at around 5pm in Triq il-Qala, when the 23-year old driver, who is from Valletta, lost control of the vehicle which then crashed into a wall and ended up in a field. A 22-year old passenger from Gzira was also in the car.

The two women were taken to the Gozo General Hospital, their condition is as yet unknown.

Police investigations are ongoing.
