A new scheme for discounted fares on Gozo Channel during July has been launched by Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri

Starting Monday the 13th, until Thursday, the 30th of July, the ticket price will be reduced to €2.50 from €4.65 for Maltese and tourists when purchased from Monday to Thursday between 2.15pm and midnight. Vehicles will be €8.50 instead of €15.70.

The Minister explained that this scheme is aimed at attracting people to visit Gozo during the week, and not just at weekends.

Chairman of Gozo Channel Joe Cordina said that such initiatives continue to help boost the Gozitan economy, while the CEO of the Gozo Tourism Association Joe Muscat thanked the Gozo Minister for the scheme, which he said will help to attract more visitors to Gozo.

This scheme does not apply to commercial vehicles.
