A 28-year-old motorcyclist, a Serbian, who lived in Zebbug Gozo, died this afternoon after he was involved in a traffic accident in Victoria Street Nadur.

Police said that the accident happened at about 12.45pm, when the man, who was riding a Kentoya motorcycle, collided with a double-decker King Long driven by a 61-year-old man from Santa Lucija.

The man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, but unfortunately he lost his life a few minutes later, Police said.

A magisterial inquiry was appointed and Police investigations are still ongoing.
