A 22-year old man who lives in Xaghra, has been seriously injured following an accident while working with construction machinery.

Police said that the accident happened at around 2.00pm on Friday, in Port Street, Marsalforn.

The man sustained his injuries when he was hit by a hard object while working on the construction machinery.

He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
