In just one week over 90,000 people taken the flu vaccine, the Ministry for Health said.
It said that the campaign to promote the flu vaccine this year has been so effective that out of the 100,000 vaccines that have arrived in Malta so far, more than 90,000 have already been taken by vulnerable people and frontliners.
The Department of Health has ordered 250,000 vaccinations this year. A second delivery is ordered for November.
From tomorrow the vaccine will only be available from the ten health centres spread across Malta, in Gozo it is in Victoria (and not from the local Polyclinics).
As soon as the second flu vaccine stock arrives, the vaccine will be available from all Health Centres and Polyclinics, the Ministry said.
